TVNZ - One Lane Bridge
This programme contains all the things we don't want to see on our screens.
It starts at a time when many families, including children, are watching (i.e. at 8.30 on a weekday evening).
The Four letter word F--- is used about once a minute, usually bawled from the lips of adults, both men and women, who clearly don't possess an adequate vocabulary with which to carry on an ordinary conversation, and some of them are senior Police officials who are supposed to be examplars of good behaviour.
A number of the characters, including the "hero", are depicted as heavily alcohol dependant, at a time when alcohol consumption in NZ has become a serious problem.
There is a brutal mass assault depicted on a single young gay man, and this at a time when domestic violence is epidemic in NZ.
Our Children do need protection from this stuff.
THIS IS A PROGRAMME PRODUCED AND BROADCAST WITH TAXPAYERS DOLLARS.
